Epsom & Ewell High School

BSfN were appointed by Bourne Education Trust following frustration with a previous consultant and their failure to deliver.

The school has surplus land which comprises about 7 acres of self-contained and redundant playing fields.

BSfN prepared a feasibility study following which a project strategy was formed to implement residential development on the surplus land, disposal to a residential developer and investment in the school’s facilities with the income.

The residential development will provide policy compliant affordable housing for the local community.

The investment at EEHS will include replacement of two decrepit 1970’s RoSLA buildings, a new sports hall, artificial sport pitches, changing pavilion and enhanced parking. The sports facilities will be available for community use.  The land sale income also allows for buildings investment within the Multi-Academy Trust’s other schools.

“Congratulations and thanks must go to Mark at BSfN. Without his tenacity and single mindedness the school would have had absolutely no chance of negotiating the minefield of dealing with a housing developer and the myriad other complications.”
